Rint Akyüz

Born in Ankara on 1949, Rint Akyuz graduated from Robert College and Middle East Technical University. His professional life started at 1971 and continued until 1985 in two major private sector groups, focusing on foreign trade. Being one of the pioneers of export trade, he has achieved many ‘firsts’ including first license transfer. As a co-founder, he founded “Rotel İç ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş.” in 1985 and focused on agricultural commodities and agro industries. Currently he serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Rotel İç ve Dış Ticaret A.Ş.” and “ADM East Starch Amylum Nişasta Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.”

He served as a member of board of directors of Fenerbahçe Sports Club for two terms and acted as General Secretary and Vice-Chairman at 1907 Fenerbahçe Association. Among the NGO’s and professional organizations, he is a member of “Starch and Glucose Producers Association (NÜD)”, “Corporate Governance Association of Turkey” (TKYD), “Federation of Food and Drink Industry Associations of Turkey (TGDF)”, Turkey-US Business Council (TAIK), “TESEV”, “TÜSİAD” and “YASED International Investors Association” and currently serves as the President of NÜD, Vice-President of TGDF, Chair of Agribusiness and Food Industries Committee of Turkey-US Business Council (TAIK) and represent TGDF at FoodDrinkEurope.
