Ahmet Atay
Ahmet Atay works as “Government & Corporate Affairs Director” for Microsoft Turkey since May 2013 responsible for driving company’s engagement and outreach activities with policy makers, industry associations and key stakeholders in Turkey.
Before joining Microsoft, he used to work for Ernst & Young between 2010-2013 where he worked as the Government and European Union Advisory Services Manager responsible for various projects for several public institutions. Prior to Ernst & Young, he worked for the Turkish Prime Ministry Secretariat General for European Union Affairs (which is the current Ministry for EU Affairs) for 10 years responsible for projects relating to the harmonization of Turkish legislation with the EU and working across various groups and government agencies.
He obtained his degree in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University, Turkey and he is continuing his Master’s degree in Science and Technology Policy Studies at the same university.
As he is externally representing Microsoft and also being a leading voice for the company in (and building and strengthening the company’s relationship with) industry partners, trade associations, advocacy organizations, multi-lateral organizations and industry coalitions, he serves as the board member of TABA-AmCham (Turkish-American Business Association), member of various committees and working groups of ABFT-AmCham (American Business Forum in Turkey), YASED (International Investors Association) and TUSİAD (Turkish Industry and Business Association). He is also a founding member and Vice President of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs Management Association (KIYED).
He’s married to Pınar Doğru Atay and father of 10-year-old daughter, Duru.
