Navroop Mitter is the CEO of ArmorText a mobile security and privacy startup based out of the Washington, DC metro area.
Previously, Navroop was a Senior Manager within Accenture’s North American Security Practice. He spent a significant portion of his security career building information security practices in emerging markets, leading international security engagements, and growing the identity and access management practice both in the United States and abroad.
Navroop helped double the size of Accenture’s Scandinavian security practice in Sweden and Norway in 12 months by identifying high value clients and crafting successful win strategies. In addition to his work in Scandinavia, Navroop helped create the first near-shore security delivery center in Argentina. He was able to recruit, hire, and engage over 30 security practitioners in Argentina in less than 30 days.
Navroop also worked on several large international client engagements. This work required him to interact with and lead teams in multiple countries across several cultures and languages. He spent significant amounts of time in India working to develop both the technical and business skills of security practitioners in Accenture’s India Development Center. Through each experience – Navroop refined his approach to successfully navigating complex communication and cultural styles.
Throughout his security career, he worked to establish himself as one of the premier identity and access management subject matter experts in his company. Through his hard work and clear leadership, thinking and architectural ideas, Navroop established himself as one of the most sought after Senior Managers for complex, multi-country, difficult engagements in Accenture.
Navroop was recognized internally for his entrepreneurial approach and for developing self sustaining practices.
